UTKANE
Authors: Alexander Cabeza Trigg and Maria Oblicka
Synopsis: This film brings us closer to the 97-year-old Polish textile artist Krystyna-Wojtyna Drouet and her daily life in a small studio in Warsaw where she has been working for more than 60 years. Her hands caress the threads of the loom and intertwine with verses of her poetry, travel photos, recipes for natural dyes and war stories. Revealing a sensorial and poetic portrait recorded in 16mm that shows us a free and versatile artist who always claimed textiles as art.

Los materiales sensibles
Author: Alberto Van den Eynde
Synopsis: Los materiales sensibles is a linear film / installation / film performance project that seeks to re-signify an archive of films of the director’s family through the reading of a pulp science fiction story. A family film from the fifties bursts from the screen. Four brothers play on the beach and their mother sees them from afar. They defy the waves in a small inflatable boat that ends up overturning them, while the celluloid shows dust and scratches from the years that have passed. A voice then begins to read a science fiction story: Alan, a private detective from the big city, goes to the doctor’s due to vibrations he feels in his head, accompanied by memory loss.

STRANA
Author: Diana Mizrahi
Synopsis: The family legend tells that Lucia Antonutti, the director’s great-grandmother, before emigrating to Argentina in the early 1930s, tried to assassinate Mussolini. An imaginative exercise from the place of origin, which aims to overcome time and distance, giving rise to the reconstruction of the details of the day when a rural woman raising four children, could have changed the future of her family and the course of the history of the 20th century. Playing to exhaust the possible motivations that led Lucia to wield a shotgun, the search ends up revealing a different need: that of solving the question of one’s own identity, marked in the filmmaker’s case by the continuous migratory movements of her ancestors and by those possibilities that will remain in the inkwell of History.

While around thirty soldiers in rotation guard the Spanish rock of Vélez de la Gomera, the inhabitants of the neighbouring town of Badis, a small fishing village in the Moroccan Rif, follow their daily routine in harmony with the cycles of nature.
