This year, La Inesperada presents a thematic focus, Recreations of the Past in Conflict. An exhibition of eight films that approach distant conflicts from a non-fiction perspective based, paradoxically, on perspectives unrelated to realistic representation. Using devices such as reenactment, animation and the rediscovery of landscapes, these films make us reflect on distant conflicts when, unfortunately, we are surrounded nowadays by conflicts closer to home. The sessions will be attended by Sylvie Ballyot, Fida Bizri, Carlos Balbuena, Maria Riera and Mireia Iniesta. The films are Fiume o morte!, Green Line, Balentes, La Durmiente and four films by Carlos Balbuena: Cenizas, Lejano, Coto privado de caza and Tal vez la niebla.
