Synopsis: One of the great works of an extraordinary filmmaker. De l’autre coté (From the Other Side) by Chantal Akerman (1950 – 2015) is a work about migration at the beginning of the century. Two decades later, its approach remains fully relevant. With formal sobriety, the filmmaker travels sinuously along the border between Mexico and the United States, listening to opinions from both sides, from those who want to cross it and those who want to prevent it, following the separations that divide human beings with penetrating tracking shots.
